Any reference to a partner means a member, or a consultant, or employee with equivalent standing and qualifications of Reynolds Colman Bradley LLP or any of its affiliated firms or entities.

We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. However, we are included on the register maintained by the Financial Conduct Authority so that we can carry on insurance mediation activity, which is broadly the advising on, selling and administration of insurance contracts. This part of our business, including arrangements for complaints or redress if something goes wrong, is regulated by Solicitors Regulation Authority (which is the independent regulatory arm of the Law Society, a designated professional body for the purpose of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000). We are not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 but we are able, in certain circumstances, to offer a limited range of investment services to clients because we are members of the Law Society, which is a designated professional body for the purposes of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. We can provide these investment services if they are an incidental part of the professional services that we have been engaged to provide.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

Our professional indemnity insurer is Axis Speciality Europe SE, 4th Floor, Plantation Place South, 60 Great Tower Street, London EC3R 5AZ. The policy complies with the requirements of the Solicitors’ Indemnity Rules and the territorial coverage is worldwide.

Alternatively, complaints can be made to our Senior Member Partner and Compliance Officer for Legal Practice, Steven Reynolds ( If a complaint cannot be resolved satisfactorily you may be entitled to refer it to the Legal Ombudsman. The Legal Ombudsman service is available to members of the public, very small businesses, charities, clubs and trusts. For more information about eligibility see section 2 of the scheme rules available on the Legal Ombudsman’s website ( Any referral to the Legal Ombudsman must be made within 6 months of our response to your complaint. The entitlement to complain extends to a complaint about the firm’s bill. There may be a right to object to the bill by making a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman, or by applying to the court for an assessment of the bill under Part III of the Solicitors Act 1974. The Legal Ombudsman may not deal with a complaint about a bill if you have applied to the court for assessment of that bill.
